MESA

Mesa takes its name from the flat-topped plateaus of the American landscape – landforms shaped over time that speak of permanence, openness, and a strong connection to the earth. Inspired by the client’s heritage, the home draws on these landscapes through its grounded massing and large, staggered horizontal volumes.

The interiors follow the natural fall of the site, with spaces unfolding gradually to create moments that feel both open and sheltered. A restrained palette of warm timber, sun-washed sand, muted clay and olive tones reflects the colours of the surrounding landscape, bringing warmth and softness throughout the home.

Rather than creating contrast, the design focuses on continuity – between architecture and interior, inside and outside, material and light. The result is a home that feels calm, grounded and timeless, where the architecture and interiors are experienced as one.
